Greetings from Pakistan in Jesus name. Please find below details our new project for the persecuted Christians in Pakistan, it is the most urgent need of the day. There are thousands of Christian who are persecuted by the Islamic religious extremists daily, God has given us burden to help those who are under continued persecution. We stated the project to provide them assistance in secure and safe place to stay, financial needs, legal assistance and all the other areas we can support such people. I appreciate if you please send this request to international communities, donors agencies, missions, churches and NGO's, and all those who have pain for the Pakistani believers under continued persecution. I appreciate your positive response in this regard.

  EMERGENCY FUND FOR PERSECUTED CHRISTIANS IN PAKISTAN 

Pakistan was formed in 1947 as the Muslim section in the partition of British India. In 1971, East Pakistan left the nation to form the state of Bangladesh. For more than half its history, Pakistan has frequently been under the rule of the military that deposes elected governments at will.

The religion has nothing to do with State Affairs", but now the religion of Islam has a dominating status in the Constitutional, political, judicial, social, cultural and governmental systems. Islam is the official state religion. Being enforced as the supreme law of the Land is the Islamic Shariah, the judiciary; legislature and executive are also working under the constitutional-i zed law. All the laws are being modified and re framed according to the injunctions of the Qur'an, which is the Holy Book of Muslims. The present constitution, political system and government are undemocratic. No more Democracy.  Theocracy is prevailing in Pakistan. 

While there is a notable degree of religious freedom promised to minorities by law, non-Muslims and non-Sunnis must practice their faith cautiously and under varying degrees of threat from Islamist's. Christians in Pakistan face severe opposition from militant Islamic groups, including imprisonment, torture and even death.  

There is always a naked and sharpened Islamic Sword hanging on the necks of innocent Christians in Pakistan in the shape of the Blasphemy Law, or Law 295. Law 295a, blaspheming Islam, and Law 295b, blaspheming the Qur’an, is criminal offenses. Law 295c makes blaspheming Mohammed a crime punishable by death. These laws are always used criminally for their own personal enmities.   

Courtrooms packed with militants have often pressured judges into returning a guilty verdict or continuing trials indefinitely. Christians are regularly barred from jobs or face troubles from their employers and co-workers. Specially converts from Islam. Christian merchants and pastors are often harassed. Hundreds of Christian Instructions, schools, churches, villages and thousand of houses are burned, religious minorities has no hope, peace and future. According to Open-door worldwide on religious persecution ranking Pakistan is on # 17.

SOME EXAMPLES OF RELIGIOUS PERSECUTION IN PAKISTAN

1. On March 2, 2011 Shahbaz Bhatti, Pakistan's Federal Minister for Minorities Affairs (a Roman Catholic member of the National Assembly), was killed by gunmen in Islamabad as he was travelling to work, a few weeks after he had vowed to defy death threats over his efforts to reform Pakistan's blasphemy laws.
2. In November 2010,Asia Bibi was sentenced to death by hanging on a charge of blasphemy; the case that has yet to be upheld by the Lahore High Court has sparked international reactions. Punjab Governor Salman Taseer was shot dead by his security guard for supporting Asia Bibi. Salman Taseer had visited Asia Bibi in Jail and had held a press conference with her. He had told media that Asia Bibi will be released soon and the President of Pakistan will soon annul her death sentence. This triggered mass protests in Pakistan with many imams of local mosques claiming that Salman Taseer had defied Mohammed and should be sentenced to death for it. Taseer was later assassinated in early 2011.
3. In July 2010, a trader in Faisalabad complained that one of his employees had been handed a pamphlet which contained disrespectful remarks about Muhammad. According to the police, the pamphlet appeared to have the signatures and addresses of Pastor Rashid Emmanuel and hisbrother Sajid, who were Christians. The brothers were shot and killed while being escorted by the police from a district court. Both had denied the charge of blasphemy. Allama Ahmed Mian Hammadi, a Pakistani Muslim cleric, claimed that Shahbaz Bhatti, Pakistan's Federal Minister for Minorities, had himself committed blasphemy by branding the murdered Christian brothers as victims of Pakistan's blasphemy laws.
4. On 9th July, 2009, a FIR was registered against two teenager brothers, complainant falsely accusing them that they had spoke against Prophet Mohammad and this family had to left the country for their safety. On 30 July 2009, hundreds of members of Sipah-e-Sahaba and International Khatm-e-Nabuwat 'IKNM' the banned Muslim organizations, torched the Christian homes and killed Christians in the Punjabi city of Gojra Faisalabad and in the nearby village of Korian, District Faisalabad. The professed reason for the violence was that a Christian had defiled and spoke against Prophet Mohammad.
5. On 22 January 2009, Hector Aleem a Christian Human Rights Activist in Pakistan was arrested on a blasphemy charge. According to the FIR, someone sent a blasphemous text message to the leader of Sunni Tehreek. Hector Aleem was arrested because the sender had once contacted him. Hector Aleem, the Chairman of Peace Worldwide, had been working for a church in Islamabad which was demolished by the CDA (Capital Development Authority) for having been built illegally. When Hector Aleem objected to the destruction of the church he was faced with several threats and lawsuits ranging from fraud to criminal charges. He fought all of them in the courts and proved his innocence.
6. In October 2001, gunmen on motorcycles opened fire on a Protestant congregation in the Punjab, killing 18 people. The identities of the gunmen are unknown. Officials think it might be a banned Islamic group.
7. In March 2002, five people were killed in an attack on a church in Islamabad, including an American schoolgirl and her mother.
8. In August 2002, masked gunmen stormed a Christian missionary school for foreigners in Islamabad, six people were killed and three injured. None of those killed were children of foreign missionaries.
9. In August 2002, grenades were thrown at a church in the grounds of a Christian hospital in north-west Pakistan, near Islamabad, killing three nurses.
10. On 25 September 2002 two terrorists entered the "Peace and Justice Institute", Karachi, where they separated Muslims from the Christians, and then murdered seven Christians by shooting them in the head. All of the victims were Pakistani Christians. Karachi police chief Tariq Jamil said the victims had their hands tied and their mouths had been covered with tape.
11. In December 2002, three young girls were killed when hand grenade was thrown into a church near Lahore on Christmas Day.
12. In November 2005 3,000 militant Islamists attacked Christians in Sangla Hill in Pakistan and destroyed Roman Catholic, Salvation Army and United Presbyterian churches. The attack was over allegations of violation of blasphemy laws by a Pakistani Christian named Yousaf Masih. The attacks were widely condemned by some political parties in Pakistan.
13. On 5 June 2006 a Pakistani Christian stonemason, Nasir Ashraf, was working near Lahore when he drank water from a public facility using a glass chained to the facility. He was assaulted by Muslims for "Polluting the glass". A mob developed, who beat Ashraf, calling him a "Christian dog". Bystanders encouraged the beating and joined in. Ashraf was eventually hospitalized.
14. One year later, in August 2007, a Christian missionary couple, Rev. Arif and Kathleen Khan, were gunned down by militant Islamists in Islamabad. Pakistani police believed that the murders was committed by a member of Khan's parish over alleged sexual harassment by Khan. This assertion is widely doubted by Khan's family as well as by Pakistani Christians.
15. In August 2009, six Christians, including 4 women and a child, were burnt alive by Muslim militants and a church set ablaze in Gojra, Pakistan when violence broke out after alleged desecration of a Qur'an in a wedding ceremony by Christians.
16. On Nov. 8, 2010, a Christian woman from Punjab Province, Asia Noreen Bibi, was sentenced to death by hanging for violating Pakistan's blasphemy law. The accusation stemmed from a 2009 incident in which Bibi became involved in a religious argument after offering water to thirsty Muslim farm workers. The workers later claimed that she had blasphemed the Prophet Muhammed. As of 8 April 2011, Bibi is in solitary confinement. Her family has fled. No one in  Pakistan convicted of blasphemy has ever been executed. A cleric has offered $5,800 to anyone who kills her.
17. On 2 March 2011, the only Christian minister in the Pakistan government was shot dead. He was targeted for opposing the anti-free speech "blasphemy" law, which punishes insulting Islam or its Prophet. A fundamentalist Muslim group claimed responsibility.
18.  According to the newspaper, The Daily Jang, May 1, 1996 Edition, a Christian girl, a daughter of Tara Masih of Village No. 46, Sangla Hill was taken out of her house at gun point at midnight where she was gang raped. When the relatives tried to rescue her, they were fired upon. Tara Masih is a very poor man. The police had not done anything against the criminal because they are feudal landlords, very rich and influential.
19. According to the News item appearing on March 17, 1996, Nawai Waqat Urdu Daily, two Christian girls along with one other Muslim girl were abducted and there is no clue of their whereabouts. It is learned that the kidnappers are very influential. The victims are very poor Christians.
20. In September, 1996, it is learnt that both have accepted Islam as their new religion and have married to two Muslim police officials. The parents could do nothing except to shed tears.
21. A Christian girl named Surryia Bibi, daughter of Salamat Masih, student of the 10th class, 17 years old resident of House No 901/ E Sector No. 3, Avenue Sir Syed Rawalpindi was kidnapped on the 16th of March, 1996 by one Muslim, Abid Hussain. The Christian girl has been made Muslim, then married to the kidnapper-rapist. The parents and other relatives of the girl have approached the police of Rawalpindi, refused to do anything because the girl is no longer a Christian but Muslim and they cannot do anything. Source: the brother of the kidnapped girl approached the office of P.C.C.C. Lahore with an application.
22. One Christian woman named Razia Bibi, (wife of Boota Masih, resident of the village No. 81. G.B Tehsil District, Faisalabad) was kidnapped at gun point on March 20, 1996 at midnight by two Muslims, Mohammed Mumtaz Taj and other man, where she was raped by those two persons. The Christian woman and her husband approached the police and medical authorities but none of them listened to the cries of the victims. Then the victims filed written petition in Lahore High Court for redressing their grief but this time Senior Supdt. Police has been directed to probe the situation. The case has been registered against the rapists, arrested, and have been sent to prison.
23. Two minor Christians girls in the district Sahiwal were kidnapped, raped, then made Muslims with force. As the father approached the police it was learnt that police could not favour the victims because the girls are now Muslims and have married to the Muslims. If the father could embrace Islam and become a Muslim, then they would be allowed to go to their father's house, otherwise the Muslim girls cannot live with Christian parents. As of yet the girls are still in the custody of kidnapper as they are Muslim feudal landlords where the father of the girls was working as a land tiller (bonded laborer).
24. Recently Bishop Dr. Amanat Masih received threatening letters and unknown threatening calls from the extremist groups.

If you have go to the media, news you will see how the Christians are living in fear, tension and having no hope.  Mission institutions, Christian Schools and churches, and many Christian villages  are burned by the extremists groups. Once one of my friend from another country said to me " how do you live in Pakistan in such circumstances" ? migration or political asylum  of one person or people is not the solution. the people can migrate, those  have resources but what about the 2.3% christian poorer community, even looking for their daily food. Financial support from the international communities for these poorer people is not the solution, this is their daily need, what they will do and where they go? I am sorry to say in Pakistan national NGO's, Government, ministries and churches too are deceiving these poorer people at the name of financial support.

They need protection, security and hope for life. again my question is, what is solution? what the international communities and humanitarian agencies are doing? UNO and hundreds of organizations and countries supporting different projects in Pakistan, why not any single program for these persecuted and poorer community of the country? why not international communities, counties raise the voice to stop persecution and violence. They are supporting this country with millions of million dollars,do they not have right to raise voice for these people?

Nevertheless, Pakistan remains a major source of Islamic extremism and a safe haven for some top terrorist leaders. Credible reports estimated that as many as 900 Pakistanis lost their lives in more than 650 terror attacks in 2006, with another 1,500 people seriously injured. Pakistan has experienced attacks from international terror networks such as Al Qaeda and its supporters, as well as violence stemming from Sunni-Shina sectarian strife and militant sub-nationalists. Attacks occurred with greatest frequency in the regions bordering Afghanistan: Baluchistan, the Khyber Pakhtoon Khaw, and the adjacent Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).
It is hardest time on our country and nation, we need prayers as never in past.
